Esra's informing site: On the eve of the blessed birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH), we are reviewing some of the statements of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli about the greatness and status of the beloved Messenger of Islam in the words of Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH). 

According to the reporter of Esra's NEWS Agency: On the eve of the blessed birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH), we are reviewing some of the statements of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli about the greatness and status of the beloved Messenger of Islam in the words of Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH). 

His Eminence stated, “Some enlightening statements from the Imams (peace be upon them) have reached us about the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family and peace be upon him). Among them, it is narrated from the blessed existence of Imam Sadiq (P.B.U.H),

«کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص سَیدَ وُلْدِ آدَمَ فَقَالَ کَانَ وَ اللَّهِ سَیدَ مَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ وَ مَا بَرَأَ اللَّهُ بَرِیةً خَیراً مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ص»

“the Prophet (P.B.U.H) was the master of the sons of Adam and he was the master of everything Allah Has created and Allah has not brought anything better than him”

In another narration, the blessed existence of Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) he narrates from the blessed existence of Hazrat Amir (a.s.) that Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) said: «مَا بَرَأَ اللَّهُ نَسَمَةً خَیراً مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ص»؛. Allah has not created any human being better than the Prophet (peace be upon him).

He continued, “The imams themselves also answered the issue of where were Ahl al-Bayt's soul before the body and how they were created. The blessed existence of Imam Sadiq (a.s.) narrates asked the blessed existence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked: «بِأَی شَی‏ءٍ سَبَقْتَ الْأَنْبِیاءَ وَ أَنْتَ بُعِثْتَ آخِرَهُمْ وَ خَاتَمَهُمْ» how is it that you are the last Prophet, but you are the best of them? He answered, «إِنِّی کُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِرَبِّی وَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَجَابَ حِینَ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِیثاقَ النَّبِیینَ وَ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلی‏ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ﴿أَ لَسْتُ بِرَبِّکُمْ﴾» (truly I was the first one believing in Allah, and I am the first one admitting when he asked for the covenant of the prophets and testified against themselves and said (Am I not your lord?)) because there are two covenant in Quran; one ﴿وَ إِذْ أَخَذْنا مِنَ النَّبِیینَ میثاقَهُمْ﴾ and the other one ﴿وَ إِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِن بَنِی آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّیتَهُمْ وَ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَی أَنْفُسِهِمْ﴾ . the second one says﴿وَ إِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِن بَنِی آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّیتَهُمْ﴾ so it is about all the humans from the first to the end. ﴿وَ إِذْ أَخَذْنا مِنَ النَّبِیینَ میثاقَهُمْ﴾ is just for prophets. In both the first one who answered is beloved prophet of Islam.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli expressed, “Allah showed Himself from the first to the last beings in the general covenant which is in Surah A'araf: ﴿وَ إِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِن بَنِی آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّیتَهُمْ وَ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَی أَنْفُسِهِمْ﴾ It shows that if someone is not forgetful, he can remember that scene, otherwise, if that realm was not mentionable and committed and reminded, it cannot be used as a prove. he would not say, "We did this so no one say we were not aware of that﴿إِنَّا کُنَّا عَنْ هذا غافِلینَ﴾. In this scene, which revealed its divine nature to everyone, the first person who said "yes" was the blessed existence of the Prophet (peace be upon him). They asked him, why are you "the best human"? He said that we were the first to say yes, so he said: since we were the first to say yes in that world, we are also the best prophet here, and primacy means«اعلی النبیین، اسبق النبیین، اعلم النبیین، اشرف النبیین».

Referring to the Ziyarat of the Prophet (PBUH), His Eminence clarified, “In some of the Ziyarat of the Prophet, there is «الْخَاتِمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ وَ الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا انْغَلَقَ. » It means that you are the seal of the previous prophets, because when the letter is finished, they seal it. If there is room for other words, it will not be sealed! This word “Khatam”, if it is not stronger and better than “Khatem”, it is not less than it; It is more meaningful that he is the last Prophet, because the chain of prophethood was sealed by him and he is the last of the previous prophets.”

He continued, “ «الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا انْغَلَقَ» means  every complicated thing that happens in Islam the key is the Prophet and Quran. So, if a problem arises in the scientific community regarding the sacredness of religion, prophethood and the Qur'an, the keys for solving it, is Quran and Prophet. «الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا انْغَلَقَ» means whatever is closed, this is the key to open it. It is news, which orders us to get the key and solve your problems.”
